Almost through the week...
One of my guy friends has been pushing vitamins on me for years. To be honest, vitamins have never really settled well with me and I give up on them very easily. A few weeks ago, I stopped in at the GNC down the street from my apartment to purchase some vitamins for Monster's stocking. I got to talking to the sales guy there and he totally convinced me to try the GNC Women's Ultra Mega Energy and Metabolism. The bottle sat on my vanity for about 2 weeks untouched and on Monday, I gave it a go. I brought half of the bottle to work with me so I would remember to take one after breakfast. So far so good. It's a simple pill that will do so much! (I am supposed to take 2, but that seems like a lot...)
I am pretty excited about the support these bad boys will give my body.
* 1,600 IU of vitamin D-3
* B-vitamins - essential for energy production and metabolism
* Bone-strengthening nutrients including 500 mg of calcium, magnesium and vitamin D-3* Essential in the development of healthy bones and teeth - may reduce the risk of osteoporosis.
* Calorie Burning Support!! - help support mental focus. Um I need this...
And much much more! Just check out the label on line and you will be amazed.
If you are unsure about which vitamins to take, stop in to GNC or ask Matt Drake (Dragon.) He should be a good source for vitamin knowledge.
Last night the lefties were pretty tasty. I actually had lefties lefties of the pasta to bring to work with me today. This should help me stay full and energized for the run I plan on doing tonight at the gym. I kinda have no interest in getting back into running, but I love the way it makes me feel. I will start slow and do some walk/run intervals. Hopefully by the end of January I can add some mileage and feel good about running again/my legs won't feel like cement blocks.
My meal plan for the day:
Breakfast - Low fat whole wheat english muffin with laughing cow cheese - 4 points. I checked this morning and I was off with my calculations yesterday. Whoops.
Snack - Lowfat babybel cheese round - 2 pts
Lunch - Whole wheat pasta with lean meat sauce and a salad
Snack - Apple with laughing cow - 2 pts
Dinner - I have to see how the run goes. I may do stirfry with brown rice. If my stomach is feeling blah from the run, I may just do soup and toast.
Have a good Thursday! It's finally the end of the week.
